How much play is acceptable or normal from the robber in a hanger bearing?

2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
130,000 MILES • 6.0L • V8 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

A new hanger bearing was just installed in my truck listed above and the play is about 1/4 to 1/3 inch. See attached video. Is this normal? Thanks.

Hi,

That's a good question. To answer, yes that is normal. The bearing itself is mounted in rubber, so there should be movement.
