Brake warning light on?

Hi, I recently had the master cylinder cylinder replaced in my car. We bought it from a breakers yard as I could not afford a new one. As I have only just payed to get the slave cylinder and clutch done. Brake fluid has been replaced, and is at the max level. But my handbrake light won’t go out.

That brake light does more than the e brake handle, it is telling you the brake fluid is low or the brake system sees a pressure difference front front to rear. Can I ask if the master cylinder that is no there has a wire connected to it?
