When I've been driving for some distance there is a significant noise coming from front passenger side when turning left. I recently (2 days) had both wheel bearing assembly changed out thinking that was the problem. Drove it last night and heard the same exact noise passenger side when turning left. Could it be the CV joint or the axle?

Hi,

Usually, a CV joint will make a clicking sound. Is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear? Also, if you apply the brakes when hearing the sound, is there any change?

One last thing, behind the brake rotor is a brake shield. They can rust, become bent or damaged and rub against the brake rotor making a grinding noise. Check to make sure it isn't making contact.

I attached a pic below showing the brake shield (backing plate). I highlighted it in the pic. Check that to see if it could be touching.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
