Engine difficult to start

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US as a diesel, so I have no schematics. However, have you checked fuel pressure? There could be an issue with the injector pump or a worn or partially plugged pump can cause a hard start. Has the fuel filter been replaced recently? Is there any chance air is getting into the fuel system?
