My battery has gone dead three times. Dealer replaced battery, went dead. Truck has the Maverick dead battery syndrome. What do I do? Some say put an AGM battery in. Dealer doesn't know what to do.

They say that the AGM battery can help but you need to recalibrate the vehicle's Battery Management System to recognize the new battery. Also, there is a software update that they had a recall for:

Software Update: Ford has acknowledged issues related to battery drain in certain Maverick models. In April 2024, Ford issued a recall for over 456,000 vehicles, including the 2022-2023

Did the dealer tell you that or did they do the update? This guide can help show you other items that can cause the battery to go dead:

Have gone over what you sent. Before buying this Maverick, I owned three Honda CRVs, drove each one 250,000 miles and never had any problems. Why do I have an immediate problem with this brand-new Maverick?

Good question, I don't like buying new re-makes of older cars in general, to many bugs they have not worked out.

No. I am not a mechanic. I paid good money for this truck. I want a reliable vehicle when I pay thousands for it. If you can't do that, give my money back. They say they will buy it back, but it will take time. Why? I bet they buy it back for half the price and I am screwed.
