I have a 1997 Yukon w/5.7 that will not start, it is not getting fuel I checked the relay it is ok but before I can check the fuel pump it starts this has happened three times
What do you think is there other than the pump that can cause that?

First I'll check the fuel pressure with a gauge to confirm that the correct pressure is being deilvered to the fuel rail. When this checks out.
I'll check whether the computer if its getting the correct signal indicating the position of the crankshaft, the engine speed and the firing sequence. Which will come from the distributor pick-up/camshaft/ crankshaft positon sensors.
