Can the system be recalibrated by the user versus having to take the vehicle into the dealer for service. If so, how is the procedure performed?

Sorry, looks like you have to go to them to have it done.The older ones could be done without any scan tools, but according to Mitchell a "J" tool designed for TPM systems is req'd to calibrate it
