How do I get the belt off when replacing an alternator for a 2004 GMC Yukon?

There should be a tention pully with a square hole that a 3/8 ratchet will fit into. Just insert the ratchet into this hole and loosen. The belt should loosen right up. A short 3/8 extention will make this easier.
