I DROVE MY YUKON TO SCHOOL TO PICK UP MY KIDS AND WENT TO TAKE OFF, TRUCK WOULD NOT MOVE IN ANY GEAR. I CHECKED FLUID AND IT WAS GOOD. I CUT THE TRUCK OFF AND STARTED AGAIN IT WENT IN GEAR BUT STOPPED MOVING A FEW SECONDS LATER. I LEFT THE TRUCK FOR AN HOUR, CAME BACK AND THE TRUCK WENT IN GEAR AND I DROVE IT FOR ABOUT A MILE AND THEN IT STARTED AGAIN. WOULD GO IN EVERY GEAR BUT WOULD NOT MOVE. THIS IS AN 04 GMC YUKON. 2 WHEEL DRIVE. SEEMS LIKE WHEN THE TRUCK IS HOT NOW IT DOES NOT WANT TO MOVE. ANY SUGGESTIONS

The first step would be to verify the fluid level and condition but it sounds like you may have some serious internal problems that will require examination by a qualified trans shop.
