How to remove and replace the IP Cluster? I missed the recall from GMC. I am a mechanical type person. Wonder if it's something I can do and save $250.00

Yes, you can probably repair it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Check here for a guide on how to repair bad gauges in 03-06 GMs -
