How do I get the gas to start flowing through the fuel pump if it is electric without bring it to the dealer?

I was told that the truck will start up when the gas is flowing through the fuel pump. How do I get the gas to start flowing to the fuel pump if it is an elecric fuel pump?

The fuel will flow automatically. There is nothing you can do. ***If you tried to start it for a long time before you put gas in it then chances are you ruined the fuel pump and it needs to be replaced. In order to replace the fuel pump you need to remove the fuel tank.

Thank you very much for all your help, but I just got the truck started. I held down the accelerator and then turned the ignition and it started. I really appreciate your help. :D
