my 2002 gmc yukon will not turn on in park but it will on nueteral.

Suspect faulty or ill adjusted Neutral/Park Safety Switch. Most newer vehicles' switch can be adjusted. Be sure to test after adjusting so that it will only start in Park and Neutral. If adjustment does not solve the issue, the switch will need replacing.
