My yukon is making a cricket noise, someone said the lifters. How would I fix it?? I just change my oil with Valvoline 10w40 and added lucas oil treatment and the noise is still there. I also have a small knocking noise, If you can help me solve these issues I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!

The lifters will make a tapping noise. When you say a cricket sound, it sounds like the serp belt is making noise. Try this... Take a glass of water, start the car, open the hood and slowly pour the water on the belt. Does the cricket sound change? If so, replace the belt. NOTE: Make sure to protect your eyes and wear old clothes because the water will most likely spray back at you.

Let me know. Also, the knocking sound... is it coming from the lower area of the engine?
