it doesn't do it all the time but sometimes when your driving this yukon it will be fine but once in awhile it seems to want to fall flat on its face. its usually not long after start up. but sometimes it does it awhile after startup. rarely though. just wondering what could possibly be going on. not sure if the rpms drop or not. its my dads so he drives it not me. just looking for some ideas on what it may be. hope you can help.

Have you ever replaced the timing chain? Is the check engine light on? If so then retrieve the code with an OBD II tester. Autozone should do this for free.
