My 2000 Yukon XL has a problem with the 4 wheel drive. If the light is not lit you can't switch it from 2 wheel to 4 wheel or vice versa. As soon as the light comes back on you can. Was wondering which part I need to fix the problem??

It sounds like the switch itself; however, I need you to check something. When this happens, check to see if the actuator is getting power. The actuator is the electric motor mounted to the side of the transfer case. First, make sure the electrical plug is tight and clean, and then check for power. If there is no power, you need to check to make sure the switch is getting power.

Let me know what you find.
