1992 GMC Van NO BACK UP LIGHTS

I have a 92 GMC Vandura with 205,840 miles (VIN#2GDGG31K6N4506417) that has no backup lights. I've checked the harness going to the lights & there is no power to them. I traced the wire back but can't find where it is supposed to receive power/be powered from or how the circuit is supposed to work.

Sir-The back-up light switch is located at the base of the steering column-unplug it use a small jumper wire and jump the connector-is the light On? If so replace the switch.
