2004 GMC Truck Windshield wipers

My windshield wipers only work when they want to....i just changed the wiper control console because that is the first thing they say to change, but that didnt help! What else could be wrong with it?

I would check two things, the switch is the most likely culprit, but you could also have a ground bad in one of the harnesses to the motor. Check all your plugin connectors from the column to the motor just to cover all bases.
