Engine Performance problem
1998 GMC Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my truck starts and runs for a few seconds and then quits, if i feed it with gas it will continue to run i have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump but it continues to only run for a few seconds any suggestions

check your fuel pressure, as it should be at least 40p.s.i. to run the truck. BUT that particular year had a problem with the harness going to the fuel pump. Delco sell s a fuel pupmp with the 12" of harness that you neeed to put in otherwise if you insatall a nother pump it will fail again....
