1996 GMC Truck sensor

I have a 1996 gmc truck that has a code p0154 on it o2 sernsor replace it came up the same thing.Does the sensor have to heat up to clear the code?Or there something esle?

Hi:
No, the sensor is most likely working fine. You need to reset the computer to get rid of the light. If you already did that, make sure none of the wires have been damaged by heat or broken.
