Engine Performance problem
1987 GMC Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i hve an 87 gmc truck,the problem i am having is the truck will not stay running.i have changed the fuel filter thinking it was dirtty,but it is still running te same.i can giveit gas and it will rn,but is not idleing the way it should.what is my next step to trouble shooting this problem?

Check for any vacuum leaks, then bring it down to a parts store. Most of them will scan it free of charge, and tell you what is wrong, hoping to sell you the part, or parts you may need.
