1999 GMC Suburban Dome lights stay on.

When I turn off my 1999 GMC K1500, the dome lights wont shut off and run my battery down. No other electrical problems currently or in last 30k miles since I have owned it. Advice??

first thing check your instrument dim switch as you may have inadvertenly left the dome light on or if you have a kid driving he/she may have. then you'll have to check your doors to see if a wire came off the one or both switches. But if your dome light stays on an dyour courtesy lights under the dash don't it may be the dimmer switch for your instrument panel.....
