My cruise control works some days and doesnt on others. When it does work, it sometimes shuts off when i turn the windshield wipers on. It also seems to shut off if i hit a bump, but not positive its the bump causing this.

When it doesn't engage next time, hold the brake pedal up with your toes. If it works that way, suspect the brake light switch is out of adjustment. If there is a "cruise" light on the dash, if it turns off intermittently, suspect the "clock spring" under the steering wheel. That is a wound-up ribbon cable. When it continues to break, the horn will stop working and the air bag light will come on. This usually isn't intermittent for long.
