1997 GMC Suburban REVERS LIGHT DOSN'T WORK

I have 2 problems
1- while car neutral, and the Engine running, the RPM gose up and down till the Engine turned off.

2- the revers light dosn't work?

Hi there, for the idle problem have the idle control motor checked and check for any vacuum leaks, a scan for any unresolved fault codes will also help. For the reverse lights, check fuse and switch on transmission,
