Transmission problem
1996 GMC Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

The four wheel drive won't engage when I press the button to convert, it just blinks. What is wrong with my Suburban?

Hi:
There is a 4wd actuator on the side of the transfer case that determined 4wd. You need to check if it's getting power when you switch to 4wd. If it is, remove it and check for operation. It may need replaced.
