depending on how it failed and how the ecm interprets its signal you will experience poor drivability, poor fuel economy, excessive oil fuel dillution, unhealthy for catlytic converts and 02 sensors.

Depending on how this sensor failed may mean the car will not start for some vechiles and others just means very poor drivability issues and unhealthy if not fixed.
