1991 GMC Suburban noise from trans

I have a noise coming from the trans it sounds similar to a rod knock. It comes only under load. trans shifts fine.Could it be the converter?Its been determined that its not coming from the engine.

Check your torque converter bolts, starter bolts and flywheel cove bolts. Check U-joints also.
