Transmission problem
1989 GMC Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving on freeway when massive amounts of smoke was in my rear view mirror truck stoped going and looked underneath and fluid was comming from bell housing. whats the problem?

Hi there,

red fluid will be transmission oil, if from the bell housing it will be from the front seal, this would be the most common cause, but it will need to be inspected first hand to make sure.
