1986 GMC Suburban Wobly steering colum

If I remove the steering colum can I tighten it back up to fix the movement in it or does it need relaced

Tilt steering wheel? if yes pull it apart put Lock-Tite on bolts that hold tilt mechanism to column.

had the same issue with my c10. i had to bring it to a mechanic to replace a few worn parts. they suggested i let a pro do it because it is pretty complicated.
