When I put the truck in D and drive forward the truck will go forward as it supposed to but suddenly while driving the motor will rev up and the truck acts like it is in neutral for a second and then it will engage again. The truck will do this back and forth while trying to drive. Thanks for any advice.

Check the fluid level of the trans first (Idling in park) to see ifi t is low.If ok, you may need to service the trans (Filter kit) a partially plugged filter will do what you describe. If it is the original trans I dont suggest a full flush of the trans at that mileage, just drop the pan and change the filter and the necessary amount of fluid to bring it up to correct level (Approx 4 qts)
