why would there be moisture in the air breather?

what kind of moisture are we talking about
oil, water/condensation?

when you say breather do you mean air filter or the intake hose?

how far up the hose is the moisture?

the air filter housing should have a drain hole to let water that may get in it out. it may be filled with dirt. unlikely but possible.
