My 2000 Sonoma's engine will surge while slowing down. It shifts fine while driving but when I apply the breaks it will rev up 2 times from 1000 rmp to 1500 rpm at about 20 mph about. Also, after I've driven a while then put it in park, it idles 500 rpms more than normal uless I shut it off & restart it. I got a new coil & wires this past winter but never got new plugs. Could it be something as simple as new plugs. It's got 113,000 miles on it.
