I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question. I went out and bought 5 quarts of oil and a new oil filter, climbed under the truck to change the oil, and I could not find the stupid filter! I looked all over under that thing and I couldn't find it. Can someone help me out?

On the front part of the engine there is a plastic cover, There is a door that opens. THe filter is in there. Also, when you refill the system with oil, start by placing 4 1/2 quarts in it. Start the engine and let it run for 10 or 15 seconds, then check the oil level. Some will only hold 4 1/2 qts. Others will take all 5.

Let me know if you still can't find the filter.
