1998 GMC Sonoma My speedometer is stuck on 100mph???????

I just recently had a new transmisson put in my truck. I have drove it a few times and here the other day the speedometer just went all the way to 100mph and stuck. I cannot find out how to fix it....Can you please HELP!

Hi there,

I would say that the speedo head has failed, not sure if this is a cable drive or electric, will check it out and see if i can give you a few options on what to do next.
