My a/c blows icy cold when first started, after a few minutes it blows warm. If I rev the engine, it again blows icy cold. I think it may need to be recharged. Is this something I can do with a can of R134a refrigerant on the low end--and where is that fitting located?

Sounds more like its freezing up due to air and moisture that needs evacuating
