ignition switch will not shut off?

turn key off while truck is running an you still have lights, still runs like you never took key out

Hello,

This can happen due to a short in the ignition switch and it is shorted to the 'run' position or the lock cylinder is not turning the ignition switch back to the off position.

In order to access the ignition switch and the lock cylinder you will have to remove the steering wheel.
You will need a steering wheel puller to get the steering wheel out. Those pullers can be rented from your local auto parts store.
