1996 GMC Sonoma oil pressure

Engine Mechanical problem
1996 GMC Sonoma 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have good oil pressure when engine is cold(40PSI). as temp rises the oil pressure drops. I replaced the oil pump but it did not help much.

Oil pressure drops to what? could be engine bearings problem

If there's no engine knocking noises and you're reading off from the dash gauge-I suggest you use a mechanical gauge and hook it up to where the oil pressure switch and check it there-if its the mechanical gauge-try checking the oil pump.
