Steering problem
1994 GMC Sonoma 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic
on the sonoma's the lower ball joint is riveted in and I was wondering if I needed to put new rivets in or tap it just not sure what to do

Use drill motor and 1/8" drill bit to drill 1/4" deep hole in the retaining rivets. Using 1/2" bit, drill out rivet heads. Use hammer and punch to drive out rivets. Install using new nuts and bolts to replace the rivets.
