Electrical problem
1993 GMC Sonoma 6 cyl Manual

I have a 1992 GMC Sonoma s-15 xcab, I bought a ECM (GMCM) from auto parts store and a new prom and cal-pak from Chev. Dealer. Do these new parts have to be reprogrammed? And if so, where can I get this done?

if i remember correctly the prom won't have to be reprogramed as there are basic stuff in it and it "learns" as you drive the vehicle. BUT if it does need to reprogramed you'll have to take it to a dealer and hopelike hell they have the stuff to do it yet. the will need a tech II with the correct program to do it. Just make sure when you install the prom that you have absolutely NOSTATIC electricity on you as it will screw the prom up if you do. Make sure not to bend any pins on the prom either.
