Replace Shift Solenoid

1999 gmc serria 1500 ext cab v-8 with 180,000 miles with about 45,000 miles on rebuilt transmission will not shift into overdrive. Service engine light is on had it checked out fault code "shift solenoid fault" how do I replace it.
