My name is Chris. I have a 1996 GMC Sierra C1500 P/U, Vortec V6 engine, auto trans, approx 115000 miles. had it for about 3 years. has always had a slight rattle in it, only in neutral or in gear(not in park)
Broke down recently, had to tow it. it still has the rattle, but now is worse and has a moaning sound with it. took drive shaft out, checked output shaft on trans. i can move it in all directions. is this a bearing problem or is the tranny shot. it still shifts fairly smooth, still has all gears, but i am afraid to drive it. any suggestions? please reply soon, either here or at c_townsley_enmu@yahoo.com Thank you
