2006 GMC Sierra Blower fan

Blower runs 24/7. I had to pull the fuse to get it to stop. Surfing the net seems to indicate a resistor will fix my problem. Service department at dealership suggested replacing the module. What do you all think?

Check and test the blower control module if its shorted out it will cause your pronlem -disconnect it and see what happens
