I have a 2004 GMC Sierra SLT with power seats, etc. The drivers seat does not work properly. When you push the button to go backwards it goes forward. When you push the button to go forwards it goes backwards. It just work opposite from what it is supposed to do. It has worked properly for over 5 years and now it works backwards. What is the problem and how can I fix it.

Some customers may state that the Power Seat Switch will work in the opposite direction.

Example: The customer will move the switch forward and the seat will go backwards. Do not replace the memory seat module or switch the wiring at the Power Seat Switch. A software anomaly exists with the memory seat module. Reprogram the driver seat module with updated software.
