My wife's 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 has started cooling only on the passenger side no matter what the temp sliders are set at. Is this an actuator switch, how much is this and is it difficult to replace ?

Automatic air you need a scan tool to test. Find a local shop the specializes in AC repair and get a diagnosis. Could be one of four temp sensors or blend door motor etc. System a bit complex.
