2003 Sierra - Wipers on all the time

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra, 4.8L V8, 25,000mi. The wipers come on as soon as the key is turned, regardless of the switch position. The delay and off positions do not work, but the high-speed does. Pulled the motor fuse temporarily until I can fix the issue. I do not have a schematic - would this be a relay issue or am I going to have to pull the steering column apart. I do have good electrical knowledge - any tips would be apprieciated.

I havent seen it on you year truck, but the previous body style had big problems with the Wiper Control Module. Call your local dealer and see if they have one in stock, good indicator it could be the problem.The relay appears to just give it power,module controls speeds

Thanks for the info - I was able to pull out and inspect/meter the steering column switch - it was good. In fact, the wipers continued to stay on with the wiper switch completely disconnected. Also pulled the controller off the motor. Upon reinstallation, the wiper function went back to normal until the switch was moved past the first delay setting, then they were on all the time again. Makes me think a relay is staying latched even after the switch is turned off.
