2003 GMC Sierra steering bump

I have just purchased a used 2003 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 with 171000 km.The truck has a bump in the steering colum when I cut the wheel.It also stalled when I cut the wheel hard comming into my driveway. Any suggestion on what it could be?

Clean the carbon from the throttle body and replace the steering upper intermediate shaft. You can get the shaft at your local dealer.
