when turning key forward to start, keeps turning over (sometime it stick) & wont start, you have to turn back & retry a 2nd time for the truck to start - it usually starts on the 2nd try - sometimes you need to try a 3rd time - what is this

Welcome to the forum, I have heard of a ghost crank on some models, It's normal. The pcm has a crank timer, once the timer is activated, even if you release the key, it will continue to crank until the vehicle starts or the timer limit is reached. Usually on a cold start-up. Use a gage and double check fuel pressure.
