2002 GMC Sierra possible fuel pump failure

My 2002 gmc sierra lost power, started to sputter and died. I replaced the fuel filter, replaced the plugs and checked the air filter. It starts will run for 10 to 15 seconds then sputters to death. There is no check engine light, and I can hear the pump when I turn the ignition on. PLEASE HELP!
