2002 GMC Sierra heater blower

Heater problem
2002 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The blower fan will not turn until the fan control knob is on the number 4 setting. The coolant level check warning light did come on, I did turn the vehicle off then back on and warning light stayed off. there is coolant in the surge tank. Are the two problems related or two seperate issues.

There's no relationship between the two-what you need to do is find the blower motor resistor and replace it
