I was wondering if anyone could help me I have a tick noise coming from my engine on start up. It goes away after about 30 seconds to a minute. Depending on how cold it is, not to mention it has been idling rough.

Also I have a knocking noise in the steering when I crank the steering wheel? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks.

Well there are a few possibilities, most common on the tick noise is loose exhaust flanges from y pipe to manifold. The flanges rust and then there is not enough clamping force to hold y pipe to manifold and you will get a exhasut tick cold and it goes away when engine warms and metal expands. The noise in the steering column is usually cause by a bad intermediate shaft in the steering column, (known problem) the running rough could be as simple as needing a tune up
