2001 GMC Sierra confused

2001 GMC SIERRA

We have changed the water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses and now I have no heat. Water flows through the heater core but the air is cold. The water going in is hot but coming out is cold. What could we be missing?

You have to purge all the air out of the cooling system.
